Director Miles O’Brien called me on vacation in Yosemite to ask if I was available for a film about the Boston marathon bombing. The story was still unfolding, and we would only have two weeks for the edit.
It was an intense, all-hours production with filming right up to the airdate. The result is an extraordinary film about the technologies that worked – and failed – in the investigation that followed the attack.
It won the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Science Programming.
